These 2 ft. high bay lighting fixtures are great. I have installed 2 of them (temporarily) in my 40 ft. by 70 ft. shop. I will ultimately be installing 8 of them in total in this area. After seeing how much light just two of them provide I suspect that 8 will be too many. Fortunately, they are dimmable and I will be taking advantage of that. They are very bright and have a wide dispersion angle. The shop has 16 ft. ceilings so there is a lot of height for the light to disperse. But there is still plenty of light by the time it gets down to floor level. I am extremely pleased with these lights.

I am building my "retirement" home and it includes a 40' x 70' shop with a 16' high ceiling. It's too early yet to do the electrical and lighting but I needed some light in the shop so I could work on it after the sun went down. So I researched high bay lighting and found BUILDMyplace. They had several LED lights that looked like they might be suitable and were priced quite reasonably. Since I'm not ready to install all of the shop lighting, I just ordered two of the lights that I thought might be adequate to get me through my build process. I also wanted to test them to see if they would be a good choice for the final installation. They were delivered promptly and it took me the better part of a day to get them hung and wired temporarily. When I finished it was about an hour past sunset and I had been using portable work lights to work by. So I turned off the work lights and flipped the breaker to turn on the new shop lights and . . . wow! I could not believe how bright they are! Those two lights do a great job of lighting half of the shop! I can easily work by the light they provide. And they have proven to me that I made a good choice in lighting. I will be ordering more of this light when I am ready to complete the electrical. The only problem I have is due to the fact that these lights are dimmable through the application of 0 to 10 volts DC to an additional pair of wires provided for that purpose. Don't get me wrong, I consider this a terrific bonus. But the installation instructions don't tell me which wire is positive and which is negative. If I guess and get it wrong I may damage the lights. But I'm sure that information is available either from BUILDMyplace or the actual manufacturer.
