replaced the original lights in a 4 door reach in cooler, new replacement ballast for the stock lights would've cost $90 each (needed 3) and another $15 every time a bulb goes out ( takes 5 Bulbs) replaced with 4 18w 4ft frosted 5000k for the whole cooler and it's brighter than having 5 original bulbs, and way cooler inside, cooler compressor is definitely working less now , all for less than $50

Can you mount these without already having a fixture in place? I am trying to use in an outbuilding with no current lighting. Also, can they handle the cold temperatures being Uber's an awning without and insulation?
No, these bulbs will need a fixture. However, you can opt for our integrated bulbs. Yes, they can handle the cold temperature. But, we would recommend wall packs for outdoor lighting as these bulbs serve as indoor lighting fixtures.

Yes, as long as they are non-shunted.

The ballast must be removed. Our tubes that say "Hybrid" and "Ballast Compatible" can work with MOST ballasts, but not all. Which is why we recommend just removing it anyway if you're switching to LEDS.
Which pin is live and which pin is neutral on this bulb?
Ths tube has to be wired with hot and neutral on one side only with non-shunted tombstones.
How many LED chip inside ?
