Externally, it helps to prevent water from seeping through cracks and causing mold or mildew to grow. Seam tape is used to seal joints and seams in order to further prevent moisture from penetrating the surface.
Durabase WP waterproofing kit is a sealing kit for waterproof applications in tiled shower installations. The kit includes 4 internal corners, 2 external corners, 1 mixing valve collar, and 1 pipe collar. Professionals know that corners and joints are the most vulnerable area where moisture can penetrate and cause issues. Our kit ensures a fully water tight seal over these vulnerable corners and around the pipe and mixing valve area with a pipe and mixing valve collar. This kit is made for use with the Durabase WP Waterproofing Membrane and Durabase WP Seam Tape.
